This rare species grows in a handful of places in quite a small area of southeastern Dobrogea.

Biennial herb, 25-60 cm high, hairy.

Stems hirsute. Basal leaves with long petioles, cauline leaves sesile, lanceolate; densly hairy on both sides.

Corolla light magenta or light purplish-blue, with darker, clearly visible veines. Calyx hirsute.
