This rare perennial, psammophile & xerophile species grows in Dobrogea and Southern Moldavia.

Perennial plant with wooden stems; leaflets linear to oblong-lanceolate with appressed hairs on both surfaces. Note: This and the following pictures show young, incompletely developed plants.

Peduncles equal or longer than leaves. Racemes with 10-40 flowers.

Calyx red, with short, subulate teeth, 1/5-1/6 length of calyx.

Flowers violet. Standard oblong, slightly emarginate, with white, oblong stain or stripes in center.

Calyx and peduncle with white, patent hairs. Peduncle sulcate.
